Japanese Axcis Mariko Mug - Various Designs

This series of mugs and plates made in Japan feature wild flowers and swans painted with a generous touch. The unique texture, as if painted with a brush, is the result of a traditional painting technique called "copperplate transfer. Each piece is slightly different, with blotches and irregularities. 

There are mugs and plates with the same pattern, so you can combine them with matching patterns like a cup and saucer. 

The mug holds about 210ml, just the right size for when you want to take a break. The design of small leaves and flowers blooming together is elegant and goes well with any table.
